Yes children, it's time to talk videogames again

and we begin with... street fighter IV!
what an awesome fighting game
i can't remember the last time i got my ass handed to me so many times in a row XD
finally a game i can't breeze through with my head up my ass
everything above medium is really punishing, one mistake and the comp puts on of his more dangerous bodyparts in your face XD
but if you get the hang of it it's not that bad, i manage pretty well against most chars... except for a few, who tend to spam their strongest move the entire fight >_>
and ofcourse there is seth... the final boss
man~ seriously this is one tradition i wish they wouldn't follow, cheap ass no button input lag reactive ai bosses
seriously he knows what you're going to do before your char even performs the move you just pushed the button for >_>
and he has no input lag whatsoever, which means his moves are instant
his projectile attack for instance requires a short charge on the back button but every time he does the move he doesn't move an inch backwards... which means he doesn't have to perform the charge and that proves the comp doesn't mimic button pushes for him
so that makes him kinda cheap and annoying to fight against at times
but i got as far as mediumhard, so i'm pretty pleased for now
and ofcourse we still have online play, which works better than i expected
little to no lag if you pick the right game, and so far not many annoying players online
just a few who use really cheap tactics, but i just put them on avoid and don't bother with them any further XD
but it could just be me not being good enough to defeat them though
i mean most cheap tactics have an easy workaround... i just haven't figured out the right ones i guess
so i need more practice... if my thumbs let me that is... my left thumb is already blistering pretty nicely XDD
anyway it's a really great fighting game with very strong and deep gameplay, although it does have some balancing issues but nothing really gamebreaking when fighting against human opponents
now just for some titanium thumbs and lighting reflexes and i'll be happy XD

the DLC for gta4
i did download it eventhough i was almost deadset on not doing so XD
but i was pleasantly surprised by it
the story was a bit short and it didn't have a big climax but it was enjoyable for what it was
i liked the new character and the bikergang vibe
i think in the 10 hours the story took me i heard about 1374813458 fucks
it was like they had to say it in every sentence XD
i know biker are tough guys but this was just ridiculous, it was like some OCD thing they all shared O.o
but yeah other than that nothing much to complain about
they changed some things and almost all for the good, better bike handling and more weapons being the biggest
but even with that i'm still not sure about the whole dlc thing
i like dlc but i can't escape the feeling that most dlc is just some content taken out of the full game to later be sold for extra money
it's actually fact that a lot of dlc is already on the disc, but it just needs to be unlocked using a code you download for money
which means you pay extra money for things you actually already have >_>
i mean come on that's just retarded
or like the alternative outfits in sf4, their like 1 euro per outfit
that means if you want al the alternative outfits you need to pay 25 extra euro's
while almost every fighting game out there has atleast 1 extra outfit per character by default... and most of the time even more unlockables in the game itself
so yeah a lot of dlc is just pure rippoff... but sadly those sell the most
i do hope there will be more dlc like the one for gta4 or the one for fallout3
i have to admit the first dlc for fallout 3 wasn't that great, but it was better than most dlc out there
anyway this brings me to my next point
the new dlc for fallout3

THE PITT

situated in pittsburg
which has become a slaver stronghold after the war
not being directly hit by a nuke it has evolved differently from the capital wasteland
but eventhough it wasn't directly hit by a nuke it did suffer from the radiation
from the info that's out now it's known that there will be atleast one new kind of enemy, which will be largely similar to the ghouls from the main game
which means just more cannonfodder XD
also revealed was a new weapon, the autoaxe (see pic)
and new slaver armor (also see pic)
i'm pretty psyched about this since it's said to be deeper than the first dlc
with more morals dillema's and such, which is a big part of fallout
and the feel of it all is quite dark and industrial which is always nice and suits fallout really well
i just hope you can travel between the capital wasteland and the pitt freely, and not just once like operation anchorage
because that kinda sucked, i liked the scenario but i don't feel like reloading an old save to play it again or make a new char to play it again
there are better things to do than that that actually benefit your current game and not an old one
so yeah i hope they fix that in the pitt

but i think i've ranted enough for now XD

since shepard seemed to have a good position, and the geth where as good as gone O.o
so yeah i hope for a good twist since part 1 had a really good story... and i'll kick some one in the face if they ruin it >_>

Hohoho i have so much to tell O.O
Disturbed concert report after gundam part of cut
Just making it clear, since most people will completely ignore the entry if they read the word Gundam and never even get to the concert report that way XD

First off, Gundam 00 season 2 started 2 weeks ago
And damnit it's atleast as good as season 1, and it's only 2 eps in yet
Just imagine how awesome it's probably going to get O.o
They even brought Lockon Stratos back, although í'm not sure if he can really be trusted
Well actually it's not really Lockon/Neil Dilandy, since he died in season 1
The new lockon is actually his brother/Lyle Dilandy, who seems more like his identical twin XD
Still Lockon is back, i just hope Lyle is up to filling his brother's shoes
And Setsuna is still well... Setsuna, although older and he seems even more cold than usual O.o
He did get his ass kicked by A-laws though
Well it's not that big of a shock since he used his beat up Gundam Exia, which only had one arm and a busted up head and such
It did look awesome though in all it's crappyness XD
And since A-laws totally trashed Exia, Setsuna needed a new gundam... the twin GN drive Gundam 00
Made by combining Gundam Exia's and Gundam 0's solar furnaces into one mobile suit
Well it speaks for itself that it kicked A-laws ass when it finally decided to start up
I'm really curious what the earth federation or A-laws is going to come up with to match it
Talking about A-laws, what the hell is louise doing with them
And why in hells name is she a drugged up mobile suit pilot? O.o
Well i guess it's to get revenge on the Gundam meisters for killing her family and killing of her left hand
Eventhough it wasn't really their fault since it were the Throne Gundams who actually attacked the mansion she and her family where staying at
Anyway, very unexpected
I also wonder what saiji is going to do when he finds out, since it looks like he will join Celestial being and help the Gundam meisters
And because of that he will be confronted by louise at some point
The other 2 Gundam meisters haven't had that much developement as of yet
They only really showed Tieria a few times, but all he did was test Gundam 00, and blast away a few A-laws with his new gundam
Which is kinda weird actually, since it has a huge face on it's back which emits GN particles
The GN particles bit i get, but why a huge face?
It almost sounds like something from a super robot anime where they eventually all combine to form a huge ass mega robot
But that's never happened in a Gundam series before and i hope it never will
So the huge face is still a bit of a mystery, probably just a design thing they thought would look cool though
Anyway, the last Gundam meister, Alleluyah
All they showed of him was him being tied up like hannibal lector and saying "marie... i wont let anyone else die"
Next episodes preview said something about trying to rescue him, although i doubt it will be easy and done in just one ep
I also wonder why he is tied up like that, yes he was a bit mental in season one
But it wasn't that bad, something clearly happened in the 4 year time skip between season one and two
Anyway, i'll be happy for the next half year (the running time of season 2) or so i think XD

Next order of business, DISTURBED!
My god, i'm still not really over the fact how awesome it was XD
I expected it to be epic, but it was more epic than i had imagined
They were so good, and they played all the awesome songs

Anyway, i'll try and make a bit of a cohesive understandable report XD

Monday october 13th 2008

First of all i have to say the heineken music hall is awesome
there are few venues that impress me but i was seriously impressed by how it looked, how good the acoustics where, and how big it was
I know i'm not used to big venues, but this really is something different from the usual concerts i go to O.o
And on top of that comes the fact that the wardrobe was free, and the whole room was packed and the atmosphere was really good 8D

On to the concert
It started right on time (8PM) with the support act, Shinedown
And i have to admit, they weren't bad at all
The only thing that bugged me where the vocalist and the fact the music was a bit repetetive
The vocalist was mostly annoying because he kept yelling the same thing over and over
I think i heard him say "up and down" about 50 times, yeah he wanted evenyone to jump
Which isn't bad for 2 or 3 times, but come on with every song is a bit much don't you think >_>
Anyway they where quite enjoyable, and it gave me a good opportunity to sit my ass down on a chair... since i didn't feel like jumping XD

After they played for about 45 minutes, we had a break of half an hour

Then at 9:15 sharp, the lights turned off and the stage lights turned on
A fully red lit stage, and a guy walking onto the stage pushing a cart with on it a guy(david draiman/vocalist) in a restraint jacket
The guy stopt dead center on the stage, untying and taking the restraint jacket off the other guy
Right after the guy with the cart leaves again, lights start flashing and a ominous laugh echoes through the room
And boom! the music starts and they start playing 8D
Although the room needs to get into it a bit in the beginning, they soon get things up to speed and you can see fists in the air all over the place and people screaming along
And the vibe was really good except for the occasional beer thrown at you >_>
Talking about beer, some people were seriously wasted XD
One guy in front of us was spacing all over the place, screaming lyrics all over the place, hanging on people and such
Two other guys next to me were all over the palce as well, headbanging like their life depended on it and a big bald guy getting them all beer every 15 minutes XDD
Anyway at about the 3rd song everyone started to get really into it
They played most of the more popular songs and a few of their new album
I did expect them to play more songs of the album, but they only played Indestructible, the night, one i cant remember exactly and inside the fire
And at that last song the crowd went completely insane, fists in the air everywhere and you could actually hear the crowd scream the lyrics if you listened well O.O
I cant remember any other concert where the crowd was like this except for rise against, which is about the only concert that can really compare to this one
For some reason i enjoy concert of western bands more than jrock concerts...
Anyway, i cant remember the whole setlist

but i know they played:

-Indestructible
-Inside the fire
-The night
-Down with the sickness
-The game
-stupify
-Stricken
-Land of confusion
-Prayer
-Liberate
-Haunted
-Meaning of life
-just stop

They played more songs but i really cant remember which XD
Anyway during the pause before the encore we quickly went to pick up leandra's coat from the cloakroom so we didn't have to wait in line after the concert, and than quickly made our way back to the concerthall
Luckily we didn't miss anything and were just in time for the encore
Which started off with 2 songs and after that David turned himself to the lame people in the back who were sitting on their ass for the entire concert
Calling them n00bs/newbies, and saying there weren't at a fuckin kylie minogue concert and they should get of their asses XD
With the entire floor crowd backing him up with a big boo!! you suck!! at the lame people XDD
After that almost all of them got of their asses and actually did something, and they started playing again
i think it was 2 or 3 more songs, ending with the highlight of the night...
Down with the sickness 8D
My god that was so awesome, the pause just before the monkey sound XD
Everyone going like "wtf did they screw us over O.o"
And after about 5 seconds or so all of a sudden "massive monkey sound" "everyone screaming like mad" and so they played Down with the sickness and everyone screamed along
And after that, they left and we ran to the merch stand to... excange money XD
No we didn't buy merch, it was way to expensive >_>
30 eu for a shirt and 65 for a hoodie, huge rippoff

Anyway, conclusion = Disturbed is fuckin awesome and i definately want to see them again 8D
And everyone who didn't go *coughnafacough* needs to go next time, no matter what *nods*

Ow and on the ride back we met some awesome people in the train 8D
And it seems that the name jeroen means that you have to be insane or something XD
but i wont go into details, except that the word unit was used a lot...

Other than all that i dont have that much to tell, except that i have serious money problems and it stresses me out >_<
But i wont elaborate on that to much now
I just hope it all gets taken care off and i can stop stressing out
Anyway so you know, i probably cant go anywhere soon so it can be i have to skip on a few things sadly

well yeah that's it
if i make it any longer no one will ever read it XD

alweer wakker, en het wordt er niet echt beter op >_<
damn alles is kramp of pijn...

anyway gisteren dus bullet for my valentine
en ze waren friggin awesome 8D
veel beter dan ik had verwacht, alleen nog steeds niet zo goed als rise against :P
en het publiek was helaas niet zo awesome
ze hebben minstens 6 keer geprobeerd de microfoonstand omver te trekken, en steeds maar de bandmembers lastigvallen
op een gegeven moment werd het zo erg dat ze zijn gestopt omdat ze gewoon niet meer konden spelen >_<
gelukkig hebben ze nog een uur gespeeld, erg kort maar het was wel een goed uur *nods*
mjah hoe dan ook, het was tof zolang het duurde 8D
en het kutten erna was totdat de verveling en vermoeidheid toe begon te slaan ook nog wel tof XD

nu voor het minder awesome deel... >_>
ergens halverwege de terugreis wilden we ff stoppen en wat drinken dus reden we een parkeerplaats op
en dat was GEEN goed idee
uit het niets maakt de oprit een U bocht die we niet aan zagen komen omdat de paaltjes aan de kant van de weg overgroeid waren met gras
dus we rijden normaal die oprit op en ineens houdt ie op en gaan we met ik gok ongeveer 70 over het gras vol frontaal tegen een boom
nou geloof me het is minstens net zo kut en pijnlijk als je denkt
anyway, zo snel mogelijk gekeken wat er aan de hand was, iedereen uit de auto
iedereen lijkt relatief okee tot tristan kort flauwvalt van luchtgebrek en de schok
wat gelukkig uiteindelijk mee viel, maar shit je schrikt wel als een van je vrienden na een auto ongeluk ineens op de grond valt en niet meer reageerd
mjah politie erbij, ambulance erbij
iedereen nagekeken, tristan op brancard naar ziekenhuis
leandra helemaal in braces ook naar het ziekenhuis voor mogelijke whiplash
stefan en ik waren er wat beter aantoe, vooral veel pijn en kneuzingen enzo
auto volledig totalloss, hele linkervoorkant is niks meer van over
echt als ik terug denk aan hoe de auto er uitzag verbaasd het me dat we er zo goed vanaf zijn gekomen
een halve meter verder naar rechts en we waren voorbij de boom de bossen in geschoten en dan waren we helemaal de lul geweest O.o
anyway, we zijn nu allemaal relatief okee
voor zover je okee kan zijn na een auto ongeluk...
ik raad iedereen in elk geval af het na te doen, want het doet fucking veel pijn (ja vooral nu) en je schrikt je dood als er een boom met 70 kmh op je hoofd af komt
neardeath experience = not cool

mjah ik hoop dat ik dinsdag een beetje in staat ben normaal te lopen enzo, want ik wil nog wel naar myv XD
ik zal alleen niet in staat zijn erg actief mee te doen denk ik
but we'll see
vandaag ff rust en zien hoe het morgen is
gelukkig heb ik tenminste 2 van de 3 concerten overleefd
dan moet die derde er ook nog wel bij kunnen toch :P
